Since 2008, the sole owner of Saku Brewery has been the global beer giant Carlsberg Group.

Carlsberg is a Danish brewery founded in 1847 by J.C. Jacobsen, who named the company after his son Carl. Carlsberg’s headquarters remain in Copenhagen, Denmark, but its products are sold in more than 150 countries worldwide. Carlsberg considers Europe and Asia its home markets.

Carlsberg is the fourth-largest brewery in the world, and some of its best-known beer brands familiar to Estonian beer lovers include Carlsberg, Tuborg, Saku, Aldaris, Švyturys-Utenos, Baltika, Holsten, Pripps, Karhu, Koff, Kronenbourg, and many others.
